Reverend Jeff Hooker

Jeff is a native of Columbia, SC and is a graduate of Clemson University (BS in Mathematics) and Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC (M. Div.) He and his wife, Nancy, became committed to reformed theology and began to sense a strong call to ministry during their time in Reformed University Fellowship at Clemson. After getting married in 1995, it was no real surprise to anyone that Jeff’s first job was in student ministry in Dillon, SC, and then on to seminary. After several years in youth ministry in both Greenville, SC and Oxford, MS, Jeff began to desire more pastoral ministry, which eventually led him to church planting in Athens, AL.

In 2013, the Hooker family moved to Athens, where Jeff accepted a call to become the the church planter of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, the very first PCA church in Limestone County, AL.

Jeff and Nancy have three grown children; John, who graduated from Covenant College in 2021, Lucas, a ‘23 Covenant graduate, and Mary Liles, who is currently a junior at Covenant. They also have a lovable golden retriever named Bingley. Jeff enjoys coffee, Premier League soccer, Clemson football, cooking anything he can on his Big Green Egg, traveling, and exploring the great outdoors as often as possible.
